Training in Psychomotor PBSP Australia
Learning PBSP is a process of deepening clinical presence, refining therapeutic precision, and coming to know the work from the inside out.
The PBSP Training Australia | Body‑Based Trauma Therapy for Therapists pathways support practitioners at all stages of experience. Our training offers a thoughtful balance of structure, relational learning, and embodied, experiential practice—so that PBSP is not only understood conceptually, but lived and felt in the body.
Whether you are beginning your PBSP journey or moving toward accreditation, you are warmly welcome here.
Our Training Programs
Online Zoom Training
Our bi-monthly Zoom trainings offer a consistent and accessible way to learn directly from Curt throughout the year.
Each session is two hours in length, providing a focused space to deepen your understanding of PBSP over time, with opportunities for reflection, discussion, and integration.
These sessions are ideal for therapists who:
are new to PBSP
value steady, ongoing learning
prefer an online format
Your first Zoom session is complimentary. Simply complete the enrolment form and you will be sent a link to the next available session, which may be a Zoom training or a Zoom Intervision.
Intervision
(Live Online Demonstrations)
Our Intervision sessions are held bi-monthly via Zoom for 90 minutes and offer the opportunity to learn from guest PBSP trainers based in the United States.
These sessions include live demonstrations of all or parts of a PBSP structure, along with opportunities for therapists to observe, reflect on, and practise specific PBSP techniques in a supported learning environment.
Intervision is designed as a space for learning and integration rather than supervision, helping therapists deepen their understanding of how PBSP is applied in real clinical settings and build confidence in the use of the model.
Participation in Intervision is also a requirement for therapists working toward PBSP accreditation.
Annual In-Person Training (Brisbane)
Our in-person PBSP trainings offer a unique opportunity to learn through direct experience.
Unlike traditional professional development, this work is not only taught—it is felt, observed, and integrated in real time. Through a combination of teaching, live demonstrations, and carefully guided experiential processes, participants develop both a conceptual understanding of PBSP and an embodied sense of how the work unfolds.
Training is led by Curt Levang (Ph.D.), a certified PBSP therapist, supervisor, and trainer, and licensed psychologist based in the United States, who travels to Australia annually to deliver this immersive experience.
This approach supports therapists to deepen their clinical presence, refine their attunement, and build confidence in applying PBSP in practice.

Your Invitation
If you’ve experienced the impact of this work—or feel ready to go further—this training offers the space to deepen, integrate, and expand what’s possible.
3-Day Introductory Training
Listening to the Body. Responding with Insight. Living Differently.
If you’ve found your way here, you may be looking for a deeper, more effective way of working with trauma, attachment, and early relational experience.
This 3-day introductory training offers an experiential immersion into PBSP—a structured, body-based approach that supports meaningful and lasting change. It’s not just something you learn, but something you begin to experience in yourself and your work.
Day 1 — Listening to the Body
Begin by developing awareness of how the body holds experience. Through guided exercises and structured processes, you’ll explore emotion, sensation, and the patterns that shape your internal world.
Day 2 — Responding to the Body
Deepen your understanding of how life experience is organised in the body, including core developmental needs such as place, nurturance, support, protection, and limits. Begin working with new possibilities for change.
Day 3 — Integrating Through the Pilot
Bring your learning together through the “pilot”—the internal capacity for awareness, truth, and choice—supporting integration and the ability to live differently.
Why This Training
PBSP moves beyond insight alone. It works directly with body-held experience to support the development of new internal patterns for safety, connection, and self-worth.
The body tells the story.
The pilot helps you understand it.
PBSP helps you live it differently.
Who It’s For
Open to therapists, practitioners, and anyone interested in a body-based, trauma-informed approach to personal and professional development.
